Week 7 • projectplans • Planning may feel like a frustrating delay to action, but often saves time.Nothing helps move things along better than a good plan. • When do we plan? • Whenever starting a new web development project, we create a project plan to outline how we get from zero to 100. • What types of plan? • Information architecture, technology infrastructure, process and workflow, schedules, budgets, designs, task lists,… • Why do we plan? • Allows us to resources and anticipate problems. Week 7 • groupwork • Find Website • Target • Choose one of the many online websites that lends itself well to Drupal. • Content Architecture • Planning • Analyze the website and write the content architecture. Determine the content types, fields, and relationships between types. Teams of 3. Assignment should take 1-2 hours followed by presentations. Display Views Theme Design Planning Planning Analyze the website and write a list of the require views, the data that needs to be extracted, and the display type (page, block, feed) Based on the website design, outline the website into different regions. Use Photoshop to do this.
