  1. The Blood of Jesus Pastor William H. Walker LIAM

  2. 1 Peter 1:18-19 (Amplified Bible) • 18You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, • 19But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.

  3. Hebrews 9:22 (Amplified Bible) • 22[In fact] under the Law almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins

  4. Acts 20:28 (New Living Translation) • 28 “So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood[a]—over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders

  5. 1 John 1:7 (New Living Translation) • 7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

  6. Revelation 1:5 (New Living Translation) • 5 and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. •    All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.

  7. Hebrews 8:6-9 (New Living Translation) • 6 But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. • 7 If the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no need for a second covenant to replace it. 8 But when God found fault with the people, he said:

  8.   “The day is coming, says the Lord,      when I will make a new covenant      with the people of Israel and Judah.9 This covenant will not be like the one      I made with their ancestors   when I took them by the hand      and led them out of the land of Egypt.   They did not remain faithful to my covenant,      so I turned my back on them, says the Lord.

  9. Hebrews 7:25-27 (New Living Translation) • 25 Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save[a] those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. • 26 He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has been set apart from sinners and has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.[b]27 Unlike those other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices every day. They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people. But Jesus did this once for all when he offered himself as the sacrifice for the people’s sins

  10. Hebrews 9:11-14 (New Living Translation) • Christ Is the Perfect Sacrifice • 11 So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come.[a] He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world. 12 With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever.

  11. 13 Under the old system, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow could cleanse people’s bodies from ceremonial impurity. 14 Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds[b] so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins

  12. Colossians 1:20 (Amplified Bible) • 20And God purposed that through ([a]by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled [b]back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross

  13. Hebrews 10:1-2 (New Living Translation) • 1 The old system under the law of Moses was only a shadow, a dim preview of the good things to come, not the good things themselves. The sacrifices under that system were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship. 2 If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared.

  14. Ephesians 2:13 (New Living Translation) • 13 But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ

  15. Hebrews 10:19 (Amplified Bible) • 19Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus,

  16. Luke 18:9-14 (Amplified Bible) • 9He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves and were confident that they were righteous [that they were upright and in right standing with God] and scorned and made nothing of all the rest of men: • 10Two men went up into the temple [[a]enclosure] to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

  17. 11The Pharisee [b]took his stand ostentatiously and began to pray thus before and with himself: God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of men--extortioners (robbers), swindlers [unrighteous in heart and life], adulterers--or even like this tax collector here. • 12I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I gain.

  18. 13But the tax collector, [merely] standing at a distance, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but kept striking his breast, saying, O God, be favorable (be gracious, be merciful) to me, the [c]especially wicked sinner that I am! • 14I tell you, this man went down to his home justified (forgiven and made upright and in right standing with God), rather than the other man; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.

  19. Isaiah 43:25-26 (New Living Translation) • 25 “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake      and will never think of them again.26 Let us review the situation together,      and you can present your case to prove your innocence

  20. Revelation 12:11 (New Living Translation) • 11 And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb      and by their testimony.   And they did not love their lives so much      that they were afraid to die

  21. Revelation 5:9 (New Living Translation) • 9 And they sang a new song with these words: •    “You are worthy to take the scroll      and break its seals and open it.   For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God      from every tribe and language and people and nation.
