Spring 2011- Year 1 • Compliance Certification Steering Committee Chair and Vice-Chair selected by Administration • Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Topic Identification Committee (TIC) Chair and Vice-Chair selected by Administration • Compliance Certification Committee Chairs selected by Administration • Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Topic Identification Committee (TIC) Members selected by Administration

  5. Summer 2011- year 1 • Compliance Certification Committee Members selected by Committee Chairs (Draft Style) • 1st SACS COC Update to Planning Council • 5 individuals attended the SACS COC Summer Institute in Fort Worth, TX

Fall 2011- year 2 • Fall semester meeting of the SACS COC Steering Committee • Information sharing structure developed to store all reaffirmation documents and efforts • SACS COC Orientation Module in Blackboard completed by all faculty and staff as professional development • Compliance Certification Committees developed outlines in preparation for narrative development during the Spring semester

Fall 2011- year 2 (CONTINUED) • Initial QEP survey made available to all WPCC stakeholders • QEP Open Forums held in auditorium open to all faculty, staff, and students • 11 individuals attended the SACS COC Annual Conference in Orlando, FL • SACS COC Update to Planning Council • Launch of reaccreditation information related to Compliance Certification and QEP on WPCC website

Spring 2012- year 2 • QEP Professional Development Module available to all faculty and staff • SACS COC Orientation- Atlanta, GA • Faculty submit QEP Topic Pre-proposals • QEP Topic Identification Committee evaluates faculty pre-proposals using a QEP scorepad rubric • Top 6 proposals selected by the committee • SACS COC ½ Workday • Compliance Certification Update • Faculty Presentations of QEP Topic Pre-Proposals

Spring 2012- year 2 (Continued) • WPCC Stakeholders rank top 6 pre-proposals via an online survey • Top 3 selections submitted to Senior Administration • Senior Administration to announce QEP Topic on May 1st at Spring Fling • QEP Plan Development Committee announced • Compliance Certification Steering Committees develop rough drafts of narratives to be reviewed by mentors and content readers

  10. Summer 2012- year 2 • Compliance Certification Committee Chairs revise narratives based on feedback from mentors and content readers • Editing of the Compliance Certification Report • 5 individuals attend the SACS COC Summer Institute in Atlanta, GA

  11. Fall 2012- year 3 • Migrate Compliance Certification Report into Compliance Assist • Observation of an On-site Visit • Staff Advisory Visit by SACS COC VP

  12. Spring 2013- year 3 • Refine Compliance Certification Report based Staff Advisory Visit comments and feedback from Senior Staff • March 2013- Submit Compliance Certification Report

Lessons learned • Start early • Organize your efforts • Focus on the Core Requirements first and foremost • Develop a relationship with your Commission VP • Go as an observer on an on-site visit • Request a Staff Advisory Visit Early (one year prior ?) • Conduct Compliance Audit Early • Devote Adequate Time
