  • Reputable legal or consultancy firm contacts

  • Representations to authorities as appropriate

  • Refer to financing opportunities (ie Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund)

  • Homework and research business

  • Give time to plan any visit (2 months minimum)

  • Contact Embassies in Dublin/London

  • Consider engaging a consultant on the ground

    • Major firms have Dar offices

    • Agri-sector expertise available also – feasibility study

    • Set up your own business meetings

  • Don’t rush it when you do get over. Go beyond the capital.
