Family and friends are the most important • Family- One older brother, 29, two older sisters, 25 & 23, I live with my brother and the younger sister, very close with all of them, • Employment- Landscaping since early age, also my major, entrepreneur. Fuel Efficient Air Travel • Continental Airlines has invested $12 billion dollars on 270 new aircrafts as well as new equipment • Reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 1.2 million metric tons • Winglets and new fan blades that dramatically improve efficiency and reduce drag • Aside from fleet, the airline has cooperated with various governments to plan more efficient flight paths, constantly implementing new technologies, use LEVs (Low emission vehicles), facilities are being transformed to LEED certified buildings as well as switched to electronically powered ground equipment cutting nitrogen oxide emissions by 75 • Boeing is continuing to supply orders for its 787 Dreamliner which is a long-distance aircraft that is an incredible 20% more efficient than its similar sized adversaries • The 787’s primary structure is composed of 50% composite material and its single piece fuselage which reduced the need for about 1500 sheets of aluminum and about 50000 fasteners, along with new design styles that make the plane lighter and thus much more efficient • -----, Jamie.
