  4. How is the Egyptian water clock made? The Egyptian water clock was made by a cylinderal vessel with sloped walls. water escaped from a small hole in the base and fell into a basin.

  5. Was the ancient Egyptian water clock modified after it was originally made? • Yes, the water clock described in Amenemhet`s Epitaph modified in height, and monthly scales for use in lower Egypt.

  6. How did it help the ordinary people? • The water clocks were used by priest to determine time so riots and sacrifices were preformed at the correct hour

  7. Conclusion • The water clock was made by a round vessel with tilted walls and water ran down and fell through a hole into the basin. • The Egyptian water clock was modified for the people in lower Egypt. • Ordinary people such as the priest used the water clocks for the things we use clocks for today.
