Other Cataloging Challenges. • Lack of Word Division Standard for Pinyin • Chinese Scripts not Searchable in Some Tools • Knowledge Base and Link Resolution: Developers are inexperienced in managing Chinese language packages • Not All Resources with Title-level Links • No IP Authentication for Some Title-level Links • Weak relationship among organizations in the e-resources supply chain
How can you help? • Forward cataloging mistakes to SCP • Incorporate clear requirements into licensing agreements • Upgrade print and online records in OCLC • Urge OCLC to resume communication with CALIS • Build international standards including Romanization word division standard And most importantly, • Collaborate with organizations in the entire electronic resources supply chain
