Business Objectives: Stakeholders Today you will learn: Different stakeholders for a business and their interests You will be successful if you can: AO1:Identify stakeholders of a specific business. AO2: Explain the interests of each of the stakeholders for specific business. Extra: Key terms /definitions / revision for test after half term

  3. Lesson 22/10/13 • Put title in your exercise book “stakeholders” • Starter: Write down a list of all the groups of people that might have been affected by the change of Ryton and Hookergate comprehensive schools.

  4. Task 1 • Stakeholder “an individual or group of people that can be affected by the success or failure of a business”. • In your exercise book copy down the stakeholders from page 23 in textbook – you might also add Government to the list as they get taxes from the business and the employee. The layout is your choice. • bitesizeclipexplanation of stakeholders • Go back to your notes and for each of the stakeholders add a comment to say what their interest would be eg: Employees would be interested in having secure job with fair pay.

  5. Task 2 • You have started to follow a small business and 2 large businesses. • Create 2 spider diagrams or notes (up to you for layout) to identify stakeholders for your small businessand one of your large businesses. Try to apply your knowledge – by that I mean make your answers appropriate to the case study. Eg. If you were studying Snackers, a stakeholder group could be Ryton community or children from Charles Thorp and Ryton Juniors/infants. Say what you think they want from the business.

  6. Extension • Write up key terms you have learnt so far in your key term booklet (in your folder) using the textbook to help. Revision You will be getting a business studies test straight after half term so you need to revise key terms and definitions and what you have covered so far.
