  3. What do you need to do? You should: • Keep hands , feet, and objects to yourself. • Face forward in line. • Use an inside voice while in the cafeteria. • Use good manners. • Remain silent when entering and exiting.

  4. STAR • S– SAFE • T-- THOUGHTFUL • A-- ACCOUNTABLE • R-- RESPECTFUL

  5. Examples of Safe Examples of Safe • Face forward in line (this means until you are sitting. • Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself. • Remain sitting once at the table… until you are instructed to leave. • Do not push on others standing with you in line or others sitting at tables while entering or exiting.

  6. Non-examples of Safe • Pushing or shoving • Kicking someone under the table. • Spilling food/milk on the floor and not cleaning it up or not telling someone. • Crawling underneath the tables

  7. Examples of Thoughtfulness • Use inside voices while sitting at table • Eat your own food.

  8. Non - examples of Thoughtfulness • Speaking loudly • Calling out to a friend who is not sitting directly in front of you or on the side of you.

  9. Examples of Accountable • Remain silent when entering and exiting

  10. Non-examples of Accountable • Speaking to someone who is in line with you. • Speaking to someone already sitting at a table.

  11. Examples of Respectful • Use good manners. • Treating others as you want to be treated. • Choose a positive attitude.

  12. Non-examples of Respectful • Chewing your food with your mouth open. • Playing with your food or drink. • Invading the personal space of others. • Teasing your classmates.
