  1. Hyperion 11 Upgrade

  2. Status • Ready, set, migrate!! • Hyperion 11 is (finally) ready • ~30 Beta testers have been using application • March 13th roll-out

  3. Plan • March 13thavailability to all users • Users re-apply for data access • Move content • June 1st retirement of old My Reports

  4. Users • Re-apply for access (yes, I know….) • Forms.asu.edu • Orderly evacuation • Data trustees/computer accounts may be overwhelmed, be patient • Install new plug-in • Old and new will work at the same time • Different instructions for 64 bit Windows 7! • Clean up your legacy folder(s) • You know who you are • Migrate your content • Rename migrated queries to start with “zzz”. IE: “zzzNot Enrolled Next Term (Continuing)” • Check OCE name, will need to reset after import to get report running. • Permissions need to be re-assigned

  5. FYI • Login in at myreports11.asu.edu • Hyperion 11 login is the same • All forms submitted on or after March 13th will give access to new My Reports, not old. • Dashboards are not affected • Users will have access to old MyReports until retired • Shared queries in both systems will have to kept synchronized • Users with large report repositories can request help moving content

  6. FYI continued • Some OCE’s renamed, cross reference can be found on upgrade page • Will have Hyperion 11 on IE8 in My Apps • Some Javascript conversion issues • PDFs, HTML output, Excel, now work with IE8 on Hyperion 11 • Currently does not work with IE9, or most any other newer browser. IE8 is best.

  7. Help • Blackboard forum • MyReports@asu.edu: • Reporting application issues • Questions • Permissions issues • Students can help move queries • Opt-in for “departmental support” access?

  8. Highlights • Compatible with Internet Explorer 8 • Run 2 or more queries at once • Better performance • Copy and paste queries between folders • Search button for tables

  9. Future • Version 11.1.1.4 will support IE9 and Firefox 5, we will try to implement in 2-3 months • Version 11.1.2?
