  8. Scheduling • The Athletic Director is responsible for all contest schedules and gym use schedules. • Each coach is responsible for his/her practice schedule and communicating that with the AD and other coaches. • Changes in game schedule must be approved by the AD.

  9. Cancellations • Practice cancellations should be communicated to players in advance. • When necessary, last-minute practice cancellation announcements should be sent to the main office as soon as a decision is made and no later than 3:00. • Weather or emergency-related cancellations will be made after 12:30. Please advise parents of this.

  10. Eligibility • All VHSL eligibility rules are in effect. • Athletes must maintain at least a 2.0 in all classes to participate. Those with less than a 2.0 in any class must attend mandatory remediation until the grade is brought-up. • Attendance—Athletes must be in school all day in order to participate. • Discipline—Athletes may not participate on a given day if they are suspended or in ISS for that day.

  11. Transportation • All CCPS rules and regulations apply. Riding a bus is a privilege and can be revoked. • If a student is suspended off of a bus, he/she may not ride a bus for athletics during that period. • Buses should be left clean and free of trash at the end of all trips.

  12. Equipment • Start of Season • Inventory all items on the R-H inventory form. • Hand-out equipment and keep a record of who received what. • During Season • Maintain all equipment as if it were your own. • Make sure all equipment is secured.

  13. Post Season Equipment • Collect all equipment and inspect if for damage. • Collect all equipment from players. • Inventory all equipment on the same inventory form. Include the following: • A list of items not returned by a player along with the player’s name (they will be held accountable on their next season and will be held-out until items are returned) • A list of materials needed or wanted for the following year (prioritize the needs first and include damaged items). • Submit inventory no later than two weeks after the end of the season.

This may include, but is not limited to, suspension and/or removal from the team.

  16.
