  2. Fr-57 Filter Cartridge • One piece of the PAPR (powered air purifying respirator) system • Only compatible with 3M Breathe Easy 7 and 10 Systems • Our region uses the Breathe Easy 10 system • High efficiency particulate filter • Must be new out of the package and NOT expired for use during activation

  3. Used In • Environments requiring respiratory protection from certain organic vapors, sulfur dioxide, chlorine, hydrogen, chloride, ammonia/methylamine, hydrogen fluoride, chlorine dioxide, formaldehyde, phosphine, chloroacetophenone (CN), o-chlorobenzylidenemalononitrile (CA) and particulates according to NIOSH approvals, OSHA limitations, and 3M instructions

  4. Not Used In • Oxygen deficient atmospheres, • Concentrations that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) • Atmospheres that are unknown or when concentrations exceed specific OSHA standards or applicable government regulations, whichever is lower

  5. Use Instructions • Failure to follow instructions may result in sickness and or death • Airborne contaminants include those that you may not be able to see or smell • If you smell or taste contaminants or if dizziness, irritation, or other distress occurs leave the area immediately

  6. Cartridge Limitations • These cartridges do not supply oxygen, do not use in atmospheres containing less than 19.5 % oxygen • Do not alter, abuse or miscue the cartridges and/or respirator

  7. To operate • Check package for expiration date • Remove from package • Remove screw cap and tab over inlet filter • Screw one (1) filter into each of the three (3) slots on the PAPR Turbo Unit assembly • Hand tighten cartridges completely so an airtight seal is achieved –do not over tighten as it can destroy the air inlet seals and threads
