  2. How to convert your FSSAI food license? The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), issues licenses to all the Food Business Operators in the country. It is mandatory to get anFSSAI  food license in order to operate any business related to food.

  3. Depending on the scale of business, it issues three different types of licenses: • FSSAI Registration Central License • FSSAI Registration State License • FSSAI Registration

  4. For the conversion of your FSSAI food license (whether it is Central, State or Registration) you will require the following documents: • Duly completed and signed Form-B (in duplicate) by the Proprietor/ Partner/ Authorised Signatory (Mandatory) • Any change in documents/information provided during grant of previous license (On letterhead) (Mandatory) • Certificate or Plan of Food Safety Management System that is adopted or Affidavit. • List of workers with their medical fitness. • Name, qualification and details of technical persons in charge. • Form IX- Nomination of persons by a company along with the Board Resolution. • Declaration Form.( For State licenses only in case of Delhi and Himachal Pradesh)

How to renew your FSSAI food license? • FSSAI food license  is the single most important license necessary for food business operators in India. • All eligible food operators like manufacturers, transporters, distributors, retailers, etc are required to have an FSSAI food license before the commencement of the business. • But, getting the FSSAI  license is not just a onetime protocol, it is equally important to make sure your  license is up to date. • The validity of an FSSAI license extends from 1 to 5 years depending on the number of years chosen by the food operator. The cost of the license increases with the number of years applied for. • As per the FSSAI guidelines, you need to apply for the renewal of the license within 30 days of the expiration of the existing one.

  6. The process of renewal of the FSSAI  license is the same as the process of application the FSSAI license. Filling the Form A /Form B 2. Verification 3. Completion 4. Getting the License

Documents required applying for renewal of license given under the existing law prior to new regulation: Form B duly completed and signed by the proprietor/ partner of the authorised signatory. 2. Changes in the information/ documentation provided earlier under the grant of the previous license. 3. Certificate or Plan of Food Safety Management System (FSMS)/Self Declaration regarding FSMS/ Annual Audit Report. 4. List of workers along with their medical fitness certificate. 5. Name, qualification and details of the technical persons in charge of operations. 6. Form IX : nomination of persons along with the board resolution. 7. Declaration Form ( In case of Delhi and Himachal Pradesh )
