  1. What do you expect from gym lighting? When asked, most gym-goers will say that they care more about the quality of lighting. Lighting is detrimental to the best gym experience. Well, that is a no-brainer, but most of the gyms do not take this into account. One does not need to revamp the lighting upside down; some changes are still mandatory to make. Your gyms needLED gymnasium lighting. Here are some factors though that you should consider while laying out a lighting design. Natural Light- Windows are valuable possessions these days, especially in metro cities. Natural lights are the most effective ones in terms of task lighting and illumination that has a great impact on health as well. Natural daylight can make anyone feel more alert and energized, and there is an ample amount of

  2. studies available to back this up. Beyond this, it also creates a refreshing ambiance in any room. Lumen Efficacy- Efficacy is the measurement of a number of lumens delivered per unit power. In general, preferred lumen efficacy is 130 lumens /watt. This is generally achievable with LED lights and not so much with incandescent bulbs or metal halides. A 150-watt UFO high bay light, for example, replaces a 400 watts metal halide. There are a plethora of lighting technologies available to provide this high lumen efficacy. A 150-watt UFO high bay light renders a lumen output of 20,098, which roughly translates to a lumen efficacy of around 150 lumens/watt. Use Dimmers when needed for low key workouts- A light dimmer can be a great integration for gyms along with high intensity LED lights. In the low-intensity exercises like yoga, dimmer combination comes very handy.

  3. During high-intensity exercises, use the lights to full brightness. While doing yoga or meditation, set the brightness to create an ambiance full of tranquility with cooler light intensity. No glare- Glare can be disturbing and lethal at times. Many exercises involve looking up, and bad lighting may cause glare, which in turn can cause irritation to the eyes. The Unified Glare Rating (UGR), rates glare for lighting products. If you want to make sure that the lights you are using in your gyms do not cause glare, purchase lights with a Unified Glare Rating of less than 19.
