  1. Sarva Dharma Sammelan (All Faith Leaders Meet) Date of the event: 27th June, 2007 Venue: Barabanki The event was organized by UNICEF SMNet with the support of the Health department and NPSP.

Over 50 participants including – (Imams, madrasa teachers, State Secretary of Madarsa Teachers’ Association, District President of Madarsa Teachers’ Association, President Gurudwara Committee, Purohits of Nomadic Community, member of Digamber Jain Samaj, representatives of Gayatri Shakti Peeth & President & Secretary of Vyapaar Mandal.) A joint appeal was issued by all faith leaders. • Vyapaar Mandal, Barabanki, promised to publish 10,000 copies of the joint appeal in Urdu & Hindi. • The Mandal also promised to adopt booths in Dewa, Harakh (Zaidpur) & urban areas. Follow-up : • Shahar Imam with the DM inaugurated booths in Barabanki Urban. • The Imam & the purohit of the Nat communityadopteda booth each in Peerpatawan & in Dewa respectively. • Vyapaar Mandal also adopted booths in Dewa. • Vyapaar Mandal held a community meeting a day before the July SIA round in Jaitipur village in Harakh block to mobilize XR families. • UNICEF SMNet & other partners distributed joint appeal on the booth day & during house-to-house visits.
