What we Do • Look for grant opportunities • Help PIs develop grant proposals • Assist in identifying and facilitating collaborative partnerships • Idea generation that fits RFPs • Clear writing/editing • Budgets • Submit Proposals according to agency guidelines • Monitor agency decision processes • Research Compliance oversight • Work with other MUS institutions on research issues

  4. New Directions for GSP • Evaluate software packages – Grants Resource Center (GRC) & InfoReady • Help with post-award management and reporting • Centralized information for State funding opportunities • Workshops – more later…

  5. New Directions for GSP • Focus special attention on recent faculty hires • Propose Faculty and Staff awards for excellence in grant activity • Fall Research Forum – “October-Poster-Fest” • Spring Research Forum featuring undergraduates

  6. New Directions for GSP • Establish a Faculty Advisory Council for GSP • Develop College Research Development Plan in collaboration with Deans and Department Chairs • Host Research Talks • MSUB • External speakers • Publish annual research outcomes brochure highlighting research at MSUB

Focused and Topical Workshops • New Faculty Networking sessions • Spark/Speed Dating sessions • Specific Federal Agencies • NSF, NIH, DoEd, DoE, DoL, etc. • Call upon GRC experts to do webinars for us or ask for conference call/webinar with agency personnel • NSF EPSCoR and NIH INBRE leadership networking • MSU Bozeman SPO to campus to share resources • Other ideas generated by faculty or Faculty Advisory Council
