  2. Context Strategy:Case Study Analysis There will be two case studies in each paper so that will be four in total. It is vital that you spend time analysing each case study: Underline any key information/words in the case study Use the Think PINCC strategy As a guide, spend no more than 5 minutes in the exam doing this. Practice this now using the shortened case studies on the following slides.

  7. THINK PINCC Case Study Analysis Strategy: The next thing you need to do is think of other appropriate words associated with the case study. Use the Think PINCC strategy to help you with this. • Product (be clear what they sell) • Industry (identify it) • Name (business name/owners name) • Customers (describe them) • Competitors (list them)

  13. Context Strategy:Context Sentence Every single question (except for the formula questions) in sections B and C on both papers requires context. One very simple way of ensuring that you don’t forget to add context is to make sure you put context into every single sentence. In every answer in sections B and C. Try add context to the answers on the following slides. Remember to add at least one context word to every sentence.

  14. Context focus: ZARATransform these sentences to be in context to the business ZARA. Do this by adding at least one appropriate context word to each sentence. You may need to change a general word in the sentence to a context word. • Customers may choose to go to a competitor. • The quality of their product might decrease. • Higher costs mean less chance of profit. • The can expand into other markets. • The business may improve revenue as a result. • Leading to price sensitive customers being unable to buy the product. • Motivation of the staff will be low resulting in less sales.

  15. Context focus: TravelodgeTransform these sentences to be in context to the business Travelodge. Do this by adding at least one appropriate context word to each sentence.   19. Context Strategy:Sarah’s Method You need to have context throughout your answer in order to achieve the highest marks for this strand. You can easily check that you have done this by highlighting the context words you have used in your answer before moving on to the next question. You can do this with a highlighter pen or draw a box around your word with your pen. If you see a big gap in your answer where you have not added context you should go back and add context. Task: Go back through the previous five slides and using the highlighter tool or underline any words that in context.
