  4. Cloud AnalogyThink about services you use everyday. We typically use a device to access these kind of services. We pay on a subscription/consumption basis. We really have no clue how it works, it just does, and oh yeah, we would like it on demand. Same concept for the world of cloud systems, only we use a computing device to access the service via a web connection.

A Working Definition of Cloud Computing Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.
