  4. Change and Transition Changecan be described as situational. Change happens when one situation is replaced by another situation. Transitioncan be described aspsychological Transition is a process that people go through as they come to terms with new situations i.e. as they come to terms with change.

Change and Transition • Psychological side of change related to people's transitions…. • …can be more difficult for people to adapt to • ….than the practical side of changes involving technical/financial/IT/physical issues. • Therefore it is important to be aware of and support people through psychological transitions.
