Transmission Lines Commissioned During 2007 - 08 • North – West first 400 kV inter connector Gwalior – Agra line was put into commercial operation w.e.f 01.04.2007 • 765 kV S/C Bina - Gwalior Transmission Line was put into commercial operation w.e.f 01.04.2007 • Sipat – Seoni Transmission line along with associated bays first of its kind in the country at 765 kV level was put into commercial operation w.e.f 01.10.2007 • 400 kV D/C Bina – Nagda Transmission line was put into commercial operation w.e.f 01.09.2007, 4 months ahead of schedule. • 400 kV D/C Satna – Bina Transmission Line was put into commercial operation w.e.f 01.09.2007 Project Implementation

Presence of POWERGRID in GUJARAT • POWERGRID, the Central Transmission Utility of the country, has been entrusted with the establishment of inter-State and inter-regional transmission system in the country to facilitate transfer of power within and across the regions from various central sector generation projects. • Gujarat is one of the beneficiaries of the inter-State transmission systems of POWERGRID in Western Region which facilitates / will facilitate transfer of power from central sector generation projects in the region as well as import / export of power from other Regions / States through open access Project Implementation

Presence of POWERGRID in GUJARAT • Presently, POWERGRID owns and operates about 3200 circuit km of transmission lines, 2 nos. of 400/220kV substations with 1260 MVA transformation capacity in Gujarat. Further, about 3300 circuit km of transmission lines, 3 nos. of 400/220 kV substations with 1890 MVA transformation capacity are under implementation in Gujarat. • Further, under RGGVY, POWERGRID had entered into a quadripartite agreement with Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), State Government and State Power utility, for undertaking rural electrification works in the country. POWERGRID was assigned the job for execution of rural electrification works in two districts namely, Bharuch and Narmada in Gujarat Project Implementation
