  1. Welcome to The Ribble Discovery Centre Come and see what we have in store for you . . . .

  2. This is our building

  3. The orange cones are to keep you safe from any traffic that may come down from the road.

  4. You enter the Centre through the shop …the children’s section is on the brown wall

  5. This is part of our indoor classroom.Through the end door is the cloakroom and 3 toilets.

  6. You can leave all your things in the cloakroom.

  7. We do have some spare wellies that you can borrow – but it’s best to bring your own!

  8. Ah!! There’s the outside - let’s get out there and discover the Ribble Estuary! – our Outdoor Classroom!!

  9. We start with a walk along by the lake – we are safe here because there are railings – but . . .

  10. In a little while it is replaced with a white line. This warns us to keep away from the edge of Fairhaven Lake!

  11. Most of our visits start at Granny’s Bay (we’ll tell you why it’s called this when you come!! )

  12. This is where the action takes place on a Mud Dip!

  13. Off we go …… Can you see our clothes? It is often wet and windy on the estuary – but it can also be hot and there’s no shade, so --- be sure to have the right clothes for the weather! (and maybe spares too.)

  14. Some programmes include sand art

  15. Others include climbing ‘The Big One’ But all our programmes help you to discover, learn and have fun on The Ribble Estuary
