  3. DANCE QUEST SHOWCASE The S4 NPA Dance class will be performing in this show Wednesday 15th January at the Festival Theatre, show beginning at 6pm. Tickets are FREE but must be booked prior to the performance through the Festival Theatre on 0131 529 6000 It would be great to see you there!

  4. Craft Club – Today at Lunch time Do you want to get creative? come and join us in Room 201 Everyone Welcome –Bring your lunch

  5. Drama Club • S1-S2 - Could all those who signed up for Drama Club at the Extra-Curricular Fair last term please attend a short meeting in room 007 today at 1.20 pm. Please have your lunch before the meeting. • S1-S4 – All those who attend Drama Club on a Thursday are reminded of the new finish time of 4.30 pm.

  6. Phoenix Records Could all artists that Phoenix Records have chosen, please attend a short meeting in Mr Alexander’s room (005) today at 1.05 pm.

  7. Wynding Down Project Wynding Down project is a free youth space project for young people aged 10years+It is based at the Loanhead Miners Community Centre every Wednesday evening during term time from 7-8.30pm· Come along  and meet new people· Chill out with your friends· Get involved in project work· Meet WDP Youth workers· There are a range of activities on offer such as:· Games, Arts & Crafts, Dance, Music, Xbox, Wii, Ipad, Movies etc.

  8. Paris Trip 2 The next instalment is now due. If you left your payment card with Mr Stewart, please collect it from room 209.

  9. Duke of Edinburgh Can all members please attend a meeting at lunchtime on Thursday 16 January in room 130.

  10. Netball The netball club will meet THIS Thursday in the gym at 1.20pm. Please bring kit and have a quick lunch before training! New members are most welcome (Girls S1-S6) See Mrs Easterbrook for more details!

Vision & Values @ Lasswade • All classes were represented in the process of creating a new Vision Statement and Values for our new School in December 2013. • As well as creating a new Vision & Values, we decided that we will keep the School’s historic LATIN Motto in our badge:Usque Conabor “I shall keep trying” [The motto is essentially about Resilience & Effort which are important qualities for us all to continue to develop.]

VALUES FOR THE NEW • Lasswade High School • These are now agreed: • Determination • Respect • Effort • Ambition • Motivation • These VALUES were taken from the feedback from Class, Staff and Parent dot-mocracy exercises & discussions. They are what YOU want for the new Lasswade High School. • They will now be displayed across the School & Lasswade Centre.

  14. A New Vision Statement At the final stage the majority of students ‘by Year Group’ voted for the Vision ‘statement’: Dream, Believe and Achieve at Lasswade The winning statement will be linked to our ‘DREAM’values for the new School.
