  2. Wind energy is very useful • We use wind to do work, like pushing sails on boats to make them go. • Today, we also use wind for electricity as well.

  3. Wind To Electricity • Wind blows blades attached to a turbine. The turbine is attached to a generator. The generator is hooked up to a power plant that creates electricity.

  4. The Goods and Bads • Wind energy will never run out, and it is clean energy. • It is bad because the wind isn’t blowing ALL the time, and it can break if the wind is blowing too hard.

  5. History • Wind energy has been used for years and years.

  6. Fun facts • California has enough wind electricity for a city the size of San Francisco. • A lot of windmills together is called a wind farm. You can see them if you go to the countryside.
