  1. Current Political System Legal System: • Mixed legal system of English common law and customary law: judicial review of legislative acts in an ad hoc constitutional council. Executive Branch: • President is Michael ChilufyaSata (since 23 September 2011). • Vice President is Guy Scott (since 30 September 2011). • The President is elected by popular vote for a five year term (eligible for a second term). The Vice President is appointed by the President. • 18 years old to vote. • Next election is in 2016.
