  3. 1991-2001 Collaroy -Narrabeen Beach Campaign • Problem: • Sea wall issue: Massive/Minor Sand Nourishment • Beach front property buy back • Action: Spoke at public meetings Organised petition: 4 100 signatures Sent letters opposing sea wall Recruited public figures – Midget Farrelly & Steve Reid School notices & letter boxing • Outcome • Line in the Sand Campaign 1997 - 2001

  6. Problem • Warriewood Sewage Treatment Plant - opened in 1975 • Servicing 59,000 people • ‘Secondary’ treatment • Additional pressure from Ingleside/Warriewood land release (additional 18,000 residents). • Frequent bypasses (often not reported!)

  8. Results • Warriewood Sewage Treatment Plant efficiency substantially enhanced via: (i) $1.5 million ultra violet disinfection facility (commenced June 2000) (ii) $0.7 million flow retention basin (commenced August 2000)
