Earth Facts • It is the only planet in the solar system that has life. • It is the only planet that has liquid water on its surface. • The Earth is 93 million miles, or 150 million kilometres from the Sun. • The Earth’s diameter, the distance round its middle at the Equator, is 7928 miles, or 12760 kilometres.

  3. 71% of Earth's surface is covered in water and the oceans help to keep the temperature cool enough for life to survive. • Even though the Earth is over 4 billion years old, it is expected to support life for another 500 million years.

  4. Only 11 percent of the earth's surface is used to grow food. • The Earth is like a great big magnet,so it pulls everything towards it. This pulling force of earth is called gravity
