Barracuda Reels In Deals via Microsoft Partnership

In February 2013, Barracuda released its award-winning Web Application Firewall on Windows Azure. Together with Microsoft GTM Services, Barracuda built a successful go-to-market campaign to provide Web Application Firewall functionality for customers deploying applications on Windows Azure. Microsoft helped develop and launch Barracuda’s WAFonAzure landing page as well as helped organize a speaking session at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, resulting in a spike of awareness and large pipeline of opportunities.
Building upon the success, Microsoft supported Barracuda at ITSA 2013 in October with a co-branded announcement on the expansion of Barracuda’s Windows Azure solutions to include its NG Firewall and Load Balancer ADC. This campaign led to favorable media coverage in outlets such as Security Week, Channel Pro, and Network World’s “product of the week” column, as well as positive coverage from the industry analyst community, including Gartner, IDC, and Forrester, ultimately resulting in additional market momentum and enterprise opportunities.
