  3. Arrival • School starts at 7:30. • Your child will be counted tardy if they arrive in the classroom after 7:30. • Gym before 7:30. • The first week you may walk your child to the classroom.

  4. Per semesterAbsences: 5 – Skyward to generate letter 8 – Skyward to generate letter 10 – File with court – identified by pulling an absence occurrence report 12 - Skyward to generate letter Tardies: 6 – Skyward to generate letter 9 – Skyward to generate letter 12 - File with court – identified by pulling an absence occurrence report New district Wide Absence and Tardy procedures

  5. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria daily. Please make sure your child is here early enough. breakfast=$1.50

  6. Conferences/Report Cards • Conference time: 12:30-1:25 • 1st parent conference: • October 13 • 2nd parent conference in the spring. • Report cards each nine weeks.

  7. Discipline • Give me 5 • Clip system • Color Purple • Discipline chart in • Folder

  8. Lunch • lunch=$2.30 • Lunch is at 11:00 • Set up lunch account online • Please come and eat lunch with your child after the 1st week of school • Booths are reserved for you

  9. Folders • goes home everyday • communication • notes • readers • A newsletter will go home every Monday and lets you know important information!

  11. Going home • MUST have note for changes • or call the office before 1:00 • *Yellow sign with child’s name • Car riders and walkers must have sign

  12. Homework • Weekly homework • Homework Journals – see note inside journal • Homework due on Friday

  13. Birthdays No cake or cupcakes. Invitations for all girls / all boys or whole class You can have lunch with your child on their special day, but you can not invite other students to sit with you.

  14. Clothing • Please write your child’s name on the inside of jacket. • Accidents happen. Please put extra clothes in backpacks. • Please help your child practice with tying their shoes, buttons and zippers • No Tank tops • No shorts too short (3 inches above knee)

  15. Field trips/Graduation • And Program • Kindergarten Music Program in November • Field trip will happen in the Spring • Graduation will be the last week of school-a daytime program

  16. Library • Check out books • Scheduled time is every other week It will be combined with Art. • We will have some open times to check out books. • Return on time.

  17. Money • When sending money for lunch, book orders, book fair, field trip, fundraisers, PLEASE label envelope with your child’s name and purpose.

  18. Nurse Judy • If your child is taking medicine it must be given to Nurse Judy by a parent • If your child is sick, we will send them to her. She will let you know if there is a problem. • Your child must be fever free/throw-up free for 24 hours

  20. PE/Music/Computers • PE - 2 Days a week • Tennis shoes must • be worn. • Music – Once a week • Computers- class once a week, ipads and computers in classroom for use.

  22. Readers • Starting at the end of September, expect to see take home readers in their folder. • Read 3 times successfully before sending them back for a new one.

  23. Snack • Please send: • Class size • Healthy Each nine weeks

  24. Toys • No toys at school unless they are for show and tell. • Please check backpacks.

  25. Want to help? • Join the PTA • Volunteer in the classroom • Volunteer for PE events, field day or field trips • Background check $6.50
