  2. Facts About Canada • Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories . • Canada is the second largest country in the world. • There is 32 million people in Canada. • Canada is a free country! • Canada is well known from the Halifax Explosion and other major events.

  3. Sports • Hockey and Basketball are the most popular sports in Canada though hockey originated in Canada. Also many other sports are played such as baseball, soccer, tennis, volley ball, lacrosse, canoeing, swimming, skating but there are many other sports.

  4. Living in Canada Living in Canada is very fun. All the kids can play outside with out worry of getting shot by soldiers. I like to live in Canada because it is a free country and there is lots of food plus you can get a good education.

History of Canada • The earliest discovery of Canada is by the Vikings also known as Norse.In AD 985 Norse seamen sailing from Iceland to Greenland were blown westward off there course and saw the coast of Nova Scotia. More Norse came to the spot to gather lumber because they were in need. • Leif Erickson was the first European to land in North America . The Norse did more exploring in this strange land. The Greenland colony died out around the 14 or 15 centuries, and the Norse adventures in Canada have come to an end

  8. I am Canadian! I am Canadian. I am proud to live where the sun shines and the snow fly's. I am happy Canada is a free country because kids can play outside and people have rights.

  9. Being Canadian. • I am not yet a African Canadian because I don’t have my citizenship card yet but I will in a year or two. • I still think Canada is a nice place to stay in it is safe and people are nice and kind to me.

  11. Flag of Canada • This flag has two colors red and white, comes from England’s cross of St. George. The maple leaf has been a symbol of Canada since the French settlements. The flag first was up in February 15 1965.

  12. COAT OF ARMS • Canada oldest European settlers are represented by three royal lions of England, the royal lion of Scotland, Ireland’s harp and France’s fleur-de-lis. The lion of England has the flag of Royal France in it’s paws and the unicorn of Scotland holds the flag of Royal France. At the bottom the French fleur-de-lis, the Irish shamrock,the Scottish thistle and the English rose.
