  1. British Business attitudes to European Union Enlargement Survey of 200 medium & large businesses 12th – 16th May 2008

Methodology • Continental Research surveyed a random sample of 200 medium and large businesses across Great Britain • Fieldwork was conducted by telephone between 12th – 16th May2008 • Medium businesses are defined as having a turnover of £1m-£20m and large businesses are defined as having a turnover of £20m+ • The data is weighted by size, region and sector • Interviews were conducted with senior financial decision makers in each business • All figures given are percentages and are based on the full sample unless otherwise stated • Figures based on the full sample have a confidence interval of approximately +4-6% • Where results to not add up to 100, this may be due to multiple responses, computer rounding or the exclusion of don’t knows / not stateds • The questions were designed and the research project managed by Woodnewton Associates
