    18. NAA’s mission To promote the quality culture in Education and quality assurance in Higher Education, through technical, methodological, informational and scientific support of all evaluation procedures, and decision making

NAA’s activity develops materials and recommendations for conducting self-evaluation and external review; trains experts for external evaluation teams; advises heads of Institutions on issues of QA; determines accreditation criteria and standards on the basis of information annually collected from the HEIs; keeps the database of experts; prepares final reports on the basis of self evaluation, external review, accreditation criteria and benchmarking for the Accreditation Board on application for accreditation and the HEIs status; publishes accreditation results; conducts research into the development of quality assurance of Higher Education in Russia
