  1. Detector Performance and AIV Plan of the Ge:Ga QM Detector Arrays Dirk Rosenthal MPE Detector Performance and AIV

  2. Module Testing • Spectral Response Measurements (all delivered Modules) • Cryogenic enviromental testing (QM 10/24): • - thermal cycling (PACS-NT-PL-004) • - cryovibration (PACS-ME-TP-004) • Spectral calibration and glitch investigation (QM 10/24) • Module performance tests (EM 5/6, QM, FM, FS) Detector Performance and AIV

  3. FU Berlin shaker- proof cryostat Ground Support Equipment Spectral Calibration and Glitch Investigation: Cryo-vibration: OGSE2 Detector Performance and AIV

  4. OGSE 1 Ground Support Equipment Detector Performance Tests: • two cryostats at MPE: • - bandpass and attenuation • filters • - internal (cryogenic) • blackbody • one cryostat at MPIA: • - bandpass and attenuation • filters • - external (hot) blackbody • with chopper Detector Performance and AIV

  5. Low stressed (MPIA): P=8.5x10-14 W, Tdet = 3.5 K High stressed (MPE): P=1x10-12 W, Tdet = 1.9 K TIA Performance Tests • Responsivity: • - low stressed: R > 5 A/W @ 160 mV bias • - high stressed: R> 15 A/W @ 40 mV bias • QE: • - low stressed: compared to earlier attempts • better knowledge of absolute flux level but • read-out noise too high to allow • determination of QE • - high stressed: QE= 25% @ 30 mV – 36% • @ 60 mV bias Blue: low stressed Red: high stressed Detector Performance and AIV
