  2. Reminders STEP solicitation September 25, 2012 deadline Please turn in evaluation form Share evidence, communicate w/each other, work beyond your institution…, etc..

  3. Observations • Did not hear the phrase: “drawer curtsture” • But did hear: “culture change” • Used in the present not future tense! • Partnerships, collaboration • Learning and sharing new language

  4. Degree attainment; Recruitment and retention; Begin at the end.

  5. Special interest groups Turn local into global, Finding common cause.

  6. Community forms Around shared tasks and interests. Do, be, do, be, do!

  7. Exploit Metcalfe’s Law. Network strength grows as the square. Look to add new nodes!
