  3. Hi there! We will explain about the kinds of houses in Indonesia. The Houses in Indonesiadivided into 4 groups. They are:

  4. TRADITIONAL HOUSES

  5. RUMAH GADANG (large house): The House of The Minangkabau* *The Minangkabau are the Malaysian people who lives in the Padang highlands of Sumatra (West of Sumatra).

  6. RUMAH PANJANG (longhouse): The House of Dayak* *The Dayak are original people of Borneo (Kalimantan)

  7. RUMAH NIAS: The House of Batak This is an earthquake resistant building. Some traditional houses don’t have structures as good as RUMAH NIAS’s.

  8. RUMAH TORAJA: The House of Toraja* Toraja areethnic groups in the mountain regions of southwest and central Sulawesi (Celebes).

  9. UMAH PITU RUANG: The House of Gayo Gayo is a tribe living in the heights in Aceh Province, Indonesia.

  10. RUMAH ADAT BUGIS: The House of Bugis Bugis is a tribe living in the Makassar, Sulawesi.

  11. HOUSES IN KAMPUNG

  12. Kampung are the zone which consist from many small houses.

  13. Some Kampung have narrow roads.

  14. Some Kampung in Indonesia are clean now.

  15. MODERN HOUSES
