  2. Introduction • The project is made keeping in view the losses that are caused if proper check is not kept on generator. • This kit would help to avoid a disaster if any malfunctioning occurs. This would be a step in increasing profit of the user and efficiency of the generator. • Rental companies will be greatly benefited by this type of low cost ECM. • Automatic transmission of signal using GSM module makes it eye catching, as this avoids a great danger.

Description • Power supply(5V/-9V/12V(unreg)). • µC 89C51 microcontroller to turn the relays ON/OFF according to the switch output. • GSM module to transmit the warning message to the recipient mobile. • Data cables and RS232 for computer connectivity. • LCD display for parameters value. • LCD to display the current and battery voltages alternately to keep check.

Results • Hardware circuits simulated on multisim 6 -positive results. • Critical circuits tested on bread board. • Software coding-successful interfacing coding. • AT commands for GSM modem tested on SONY ERICSSON(T290) using windows Hyper-terminal. • Current parameter measured successfully. • Frequency parameter under test.
