  2. Mavis Beacon Typing • Students will learn to type correctly using proper hand placement: • A S D F J K L ; • Goal is to get all students to 40 AWPM • Accurate typing is a life-long skill • If practicing at home, please check that hands are properly placed (no hunt and peck method)

  3. Preparation for FJUHSD • Must pass four computer competency exams. • Must have a minimum passing score of 70%. • Time for each test is 45 minutes. • Challenge exams may be attempted once.

  4. Word Processing • Microsoft Word 2007 • Edit and add text • Change font and font size • Save documents to certain folders • Organize information

  5. Spreadsheet • Microsoft Excel 2007 • Create spreadsheet of data • Merge Excel and Word files • Create graphs to represent data

  6. Electronic Presentation • Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 • Research information on the internet • Create a presentation on a particular subject • Add graphics and sound

  7. Internet and E-Mail • Internet searches will be incorporated into all of the programs that we use. • All students must have an E-mail account in order to receive files from me. • Students will also have an Edmodo account in order to turn in assignments.

  8. Media Arts • Media Arts will be incorporated in this technology class using the following programs: • Adobe Photoshop CS6 • Adobe Illustrator CS6 • Microsoft Publisher • Microsoft Word
