  2. READ: DANIEL 7:1-3 1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts. 2 Daniel spoke, saying, "I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. 3 "And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.

  3. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:1-3 1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts. WHEN DID DANIEL HAVE THIS DREAM? WHO WAS BELSHAZZAR? (SEE: DANIEL CHAPTER 5) WAS THIS A DREAM OR A VISION? WHERE WAS HE WHEN HE HAD THIS DREAM? WHAT DID HE WRITE DOWN?

  4. WHY WRITE THESE THINGS DOWN? ISAIAH 8:1 1 Moreover the LORD said to me, "Take a large scroll, and write on it with a man's pen concerning Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. (NKJ) ISAIAH 30:8 8 Go, write it before them on a tablet, and note it on a scroll, that it may be for time to come, forever and ever: HABAKKUK 2:2 2 The LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. REVELATION 1:19 19 "Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. (NKJ) (REVELATION 14:13 REVELATION 21:5)

WHAT DID DANIEL SEE? 2 Daniel spoke, saying, "I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. 3 "And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. JEREMIAH 49:36 36 Against ElamI will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and scatter them toward all those winds; there shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go. (NKJ) WHAT CAME OUT OF THE SEA?

  6. READ: DANIEL 7:4-8 4 "The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off. It was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it. 5 “Suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: 'Arise, devour much flesh!' 6 "After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.

  7. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:4-8 4 "The firstwas like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I watchedtill its wings were plucked off. It was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it. WHAT WAS THE FIRST BEAST LIKE? WHY A LION? WHAT DOES A LION SYMBOLIZE? WHY WINGS OF AN EAGLE? WHAT HAPPENED TO ITS WINGS? WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS BEAST? WHAT WAS GIVEN TO IT?

  8. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:4-8 5 “Suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: 'Arise, devour much flesh!' WHAT WAS THE SECOND BEAST LIKE? WHY A BEAR? DANIEL 2:39 39 "But after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours; then another, a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. (NKJ)

  9. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:4-8 5 “Suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: 'Arise, devour much flesh!' WHAT DID THE BEAR HAVE IN ITS MOUTH? WHAT WAS THE BEAR TOLD TO DO? HOSEA 13:8 8 I will meet them like a bear deprived of her cubs; I will tear open their rib cage, and there I will devour them like a lion. The wild beast shall tear them. (NKJ)

  10. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:4-8 6 "After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it. WHAT WAS THE THIRD BEAST LIKE? WHY A LEOPARD?

  11. WHY A LEOPARD? JEREMIAH 5:6 6 A lion from the forest shall slay them, a wolf of the deserts shall destroy them; a leopard will watch over their cities. Everyone who goes out from there shall be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many; their backslidings have increased. (NKJ) Hosea 13:7 7 "I will be to them like a lion; like a leopard by the road I will lurk; (NKJ)

  12. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:4-8 6 "After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it. WHAT DID IT HAVE ON ITS BACK? HOW MANY HEADS DID IT HAVE? WHAT WAS GIVEN TO IT?

  13. READ: DANIEL 7:7-8 7 "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. 8 "I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.

  14. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:7-8 7 "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; It was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. WHY NOT DESCRIBE THIS BEAST LIKE OTHER BEASTS? WHAT WAS THE FOURTH BEAST LIKE?

  15. WHY IRON AND BRONZE? JEREMIAH 15:12 12 Can anyone break iron, the northern iron and the bronze? (NKJ) MICAH 4:13 13 "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hooves bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples; I will consecrate their gain to the LORD, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.“ (NKJ) PROVERBS 30:14 14 There is a generationwhose teeth are like swords, and whose fangs are like knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. (NKJ)

It had huge iron teeth; It was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. WHAT WAS THIS BEAST DOING? HOW WAS IT DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER BEASTS?

  17. WHY HORNS? 7 "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; It was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. WHAT DOES HORNS SYMBOLIZE? REVELATION 13:1 1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. (NKJ)

  18. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:7-8 8 "I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first hornswere plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words. WHAT WAS DANIEL CONSIDERING? WHAT WAS COMING UP AMONG THE HORNS? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FIRST THREE HORNS?

  19. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:7-8 8 "I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words. WHAT DID THIS “NEW HORN” HAVE? WHAT WAS THIS HORN DOING?

  20. READ: DANIEL 7:9-11 9 "I watched till thrones were put in place and the Ancient of Days was seated. His garment was white as snow and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated and the books were opened. 11 "I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking. I watched till the beast was slain and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.

  21. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:9-11 9 "I watched till thrones were put in place and the Ancient of Days was seated. His garment was white as snow and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; WHAT WAS DANIEL WATCHING? WHAT HAPPENED? WHO IS THE ANCIENT OF DAYS?

  22. WHO IS THE ANCIENT OF DAYS? 9 "I watched till thrones were put in place and the Ancient of Days was seated. His garmentwas white as snow and the hair of His headwas like pure wool. His thronewas a fiery flame, its wheelsa burning fire; WHAT DID HE LOOK LIKE? WHAT WAS HIS THRONE LIKE?

  23. WHAT CAME FORTH FROM HIM? 10 A fiery stream issued and came forthfrom before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated and the books were opened. REVELATION 4:5 5 From the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. (NKJ) PSALMS 18:8 8 Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire from His mouth; coals were kindled by it. (NKJ)

  24. WHO MINISTERED TO HIM? 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousandstood before Him. The court was seated and the books were opened. DEUTERONOMY 33:2 2 He said: "The LORD came from Sinai, and dawned on them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran, and He came with ten thousands of saints; from His right hand came a fiery law for them. (NKJ)

  25. WHO STOOD BEFORE HIM? HEBREWS 12:22 22 You have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, (NKJ) JUDE 1:14 14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, (NKJ)

  26. WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THE COURT WAS SEATED? 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated and the books were opened. REVELATION 20:4 4 I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (NKJ)

  27. WHAT BOOKS WERE OPENED? 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated and the books were opened. REVELATION 20:12 12 I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. (NKJ)

  28. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:9-11 11 "I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking. I watched tillthe beast was slain and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame. WHAT DID DANIEL SEE? HEAR? WHO IS THE BEAST? FALSE PROPHET? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM? REVELATION 19:20 20 The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. (NKJ)

READ: DANIEL 7:12-14 12 "As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time. 13 "I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. 14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.

  30. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:12-14 12 "As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time. WHO ARE “THE REST OF THE BEASTS? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM? HOW LONG WAS THEIR LIVES PROLONGED?

  31. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:12-14 13 "I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. WHAT DID DANIELS SEE IN HIS NIGHT VISIONS? WHO IS THE ONE LIKE THE SON OF MAN? WHERE DID HE COME FROM? DANIEL 3:25 25 "Look!" he answered, "I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.“ (NKJ)

  32. “Son of man” EZEKIEL 2:1-3 1 He said to me, "Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you." 2 Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me. 3 And He said to me: "Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day. (NKJ) WHO IS THIS “Son of man”? WHY IS HE CALLED “Son of man”?

  33. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:12-14 13 "I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He cameto the Ancient of Days, and they brought Himnear before Him. WHERE DID HE GO?? WHO IS THIS “ANCIENT OF DAYS”?

  34. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:12-14 14 Then to Him was givendominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languagesshould serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed. WHO IS “HE”? WHAT WAS GIVEN TO HIM? MATTHEW 28:18 18 Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. JOHN 3:35 35 "The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. (NKJ)

  35. WHAT IS THIS “EVERLASTING KINGDOM”? 14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominionis an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdomthe one which shall not be destroyed. DANIEL 2:44 44 “In the days of these kingsthe God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. (NKJ)

  36. WHAT IS THIS “EVERLASTING KINGDOM”? MATTHEW 16:18 18 "I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. (NKJ) HEBREWS 12:28 28 Since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. (NKJ) REVELATION 11:15 15 The seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!“ (NKJ)

  37. READ: DANIEL 7:15-18 15 "I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body and the visions of my head troubled me. 16 "I came near to one of those who stood by and asked him the truth of all this. He told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things: 17 'Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth. 18 'But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.'

  38. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:15-18 15 "I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body, and the visions of my headtroubled me. WHY WAS DANIEL GRIEVED IN HIS SPIRIT? WHAT TROUBLED HIM? REVELATION 5:4 4 I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. (NKJ)

  39. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:15-18 16 "I came nearto one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. He told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things: WHO DID HE ASK CONCERNING THESE THINGS? ZECHARIAH 4:4-5 4 I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, "What are these, my lord?" 5 The angel who talked with me answered and said to me, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord.“ (NKJ)

  40. WHAT DID THE ELDERS ASK JOHN? REVELATION 7:13-14 13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?" 14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (NKJ)

  41. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:15-18 16 "I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. He told me and made known to methe interpretation of these things: WHAT DID HE MAKE KNOWN TO DANIEL?

  42. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:15-18 18 'But the saints of the Most Highshall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.‘ WHAT WOULD THE SAINTS “RECEIVE AND POSSESS”? FOR HOW LONG?

READ: DANIEL 7:19-20 19 "Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, which devoured, broke in pieces, and trampled the residue with its feet; 20 “And the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows.

QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:19-20 19 "Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, whichdevoured, broke in pieces, and trampled the residue with its feet; WHAT ELSE DID DANIEL WISH TO KNOW? HOW WAS THIS BEAST DIFFERENT? WHAT DID IT DO?

  45. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:19-20 20 “And the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows. WHAT DID HE WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE HORNS? HOW DID DANIEL DESCRIBE THE FOURTH BEAST?

READ: DANIEL 7:21-23 21 "I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints and prevailing against them, 22 “Until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom. 23 "Thus he said: 'The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and break it in pieces.

  47. WHAT WAS THIS HORN DOING? 21 "I was watching; and the same hornwas making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, REVELATION 13:5-7 5 He was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 He opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. Authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. (NKJ)

  48. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:21-23 22 “Until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom. UNTIL, WHO CAME? WHAT JUDGMENT WAS MADE? WHAT TIME CAME? WHAT WOULD THEY POSSESS?

  49. QUESTIONS: DANIEL 7:21-23 23 "Thus he said: 'The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and break it in pieces. WHAT WAS THIS FOURTH BEAST? WHY WAS THIS KINGDOM DIFFERENT FROM THE REST?

  50. READ: DANIEL 7:24-26 24 The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; he shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings. 25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time. 26 'But the court shall be seated, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and destroy it forever.
