Govt Reforms – a reminder

  • NC Review – delayed implementation, uncertainty over KS4 requirements, KS2 announcement 11th June

  • GCSE – Linear model, SPaG for 2012 starts

  • Wolf Report – KS4 academic core for most with complementary high quality Vocational courses

  • Performance tables – only 2 non GCSEs “count”, EBacc, destination measures

  • Ofsted: 5+A*-C (inc En, ma) and 3LPs En, Ma

  • All young people must participate in Education/Training to age 17 from 2013 (ie. current Y10 participate to end of Y12)

  • Participation to age 18 from 2015 (ie. current Y9 must at least start Y13)

  • In York participation of 16 year olds is 92%, of 17 year olds it is 84%
