Standards 1.2. Explain the effect of point of view on a given narrative text. 1 st person point of view. Narrator is a character in the story. Narrator can only tell you what they know. Narrator uses “I”, “Me”, “Mine”, “We”, “Our”.

  3. 3rd Person Point of View or3rd Person Limited Point of View • Narrator is outside of the story • Narrator is watching the story happen • Narrator can tell everything about 1 character only

  4. Omniscient Point of Viewor 3rd Person Omniscient • Narrator is outside of the story • Narrator is watching the story happen • Narrator can tell everything about all the characters in the story • Fairy Tales are told in Omniscient Point of View
