ACC ltd ACC Limited, formerly known as “The Associated Cement Companies Limited” was founded in 1936, eleven cement companies belonging to Tatas, Khataus, Killick Nixon and F E Dinshaw groups merged to form this company. Sir Nowroji B Saklatvala was the first chairman of ACC.Sridhar Balakrishnan is the current Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ACC Limited. ACC Ltd is India’s foremost manufacturer of cement and concrete, it is a Large Cap company with a market capital of Rs 21340.14 Crore. ACC Limited is one of India’s leading manufacturers of cement and ready-mix concrete with 17 cement factories, 75 ready mix concrete plants, over 6,700 employees, a vast distribution network of 50,000+ dealers & retailers and a countrywide spread of sales offices. The company has strong presence in the Middle East, Africa, and South America. ACC has five subsidiary companies, Bulk Cement Corporation (India) Limited, ACC Mineral Resources Limited, Lucky Minmat Limited, National Limestone Company Private Limited and Singhania Minerals Private Limited. These subsidiary companies support the core business of the ACC ltd. ACC and Ambuja Cements are part of the LafargeHolcim group (LafargeHolcim held 63.11% stake in Ambuja Cements, which held 50.05% stake in ACC; it also holds 4.48% stake in ACC through Holderind Investments Ltd).As on 31-03-2020, the company has a total of 187,787,263 shares outstanding. ACC and Ambuja Cements together have about 14% share in the Indian cement market. Their nationwide presence shields operations from regional price volatility and demand-supply imbalances.

  2. CRISIL has reaffirmed its ‘CRISIL AAA/Stable/CRISIL A1+’ ratings. On 21st April, 2020, ACC Ltd. reported a 6.64 per cent year-on-year (YoY) drop in consolidated profit for the March quarter at Rs 323.02 crore compared with Rs 346.02 crore in the same quarter last year.
