  4. Description • Mouth • Pharynx • Esophagus • Stomach • Small intestine • Large intestine

  5. Job of the organ • Mouth- the teeth tears and crush the moisten food into a a fine taste until is ready to go down • Saliva glands contains two enzymes- amylase (breaks chemical bonds between sugar monomers in starches, andlysozyme( an enzyme that fights infection) • Stomach- is a large muscular sac filled with chemical digestion • The lining of the stomach contains millions of microscopic gastric glands
