  1. IMPORTANCE OF ADDING RAM TO YOUR COMPUTER FOR BETTER SPEED

  2. Many of us think that processor speed is the only important factor for good speed of a computer however it is only a myth. A good Random Access memory (RAM) is equally important since it is a reason for increasing the speed of a computer along with the processor. Before knowing about the value of RAM for the computer it is very necessary to know the exact meaning of RAM or What the RAM is?

  3. Meaning of ram RAM is the main and primary memory of the system. It is a hardware device and a part of the central processing unit which allows information to be stored and retrieved on a computer. It is volatile memory. Volatile memory requires constant source of power to retain information. RAM keeps the data until you do not save your information and data permanently on ROM. It does not store any information or data permanently. When power is lost or turned off, RAM will lose the information and data stored on it.

However, as mentioned in previous paragraph that, If the power is interrupted, the RAM will lose ALL the values in it. Thus the name RAM.

  5. For example: - if you are working on Microsoft word the text you are typing and formatting is currently stored in the RAM chip until you do not save it on your system permanently. If power goes out of your computer, you lose everything that was in RAM. This could be bad. This is why it is so important to save your work frequently when working on a computer. Adding ram will boost your system speed

  6. If you are thinking about speeding up your computer then adding more RAM to your system will help you. RAM directly affects the computer speed. The more RAM you will install in the system the faster it will run. Adding more RAM increases the size of that work space. More RAM will allow you to do more tasks and complex tasks easily with the speed. Adding more RAM allow to do multiple-tasks at a particular time on the system with the good speed. Adding RAM is one of the fastest and easiest upgrades that boosts up your computer speed. It’s so easy in fact that virtually anyone can do it.
