  1. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn By: Mark Twain Genre: Classic Literature

  2. Plot The story picks up from another book called The adventures of Tom Sawyer. The book is about a boy named Huckleberry Finn. His mother died and his father is the town drunkard, so Huck lives with a Widow. Huck is kidnapped by his father and taken to a house. Huck hates it and escapes and runs away. He then has a series of adventures with his friend which is a run away slave.

  3. Point of View This book is told in 1st person by Huckleberry Finn

  4. Conflict There were many conflicts in the story. One is where Huck and Jim (slave) pick up 2 scam artist. One called himself a Duke the other called himself a King. Well the 2 scam artist try to turn Jim in. Another conflict (my favorite) is when the Duke and King try to scam a family why they are in mourning. They pretend to be people they are not. It ends up that Huck tells the family the truth and the Duke and King get busted.

  5. Characters Main Character: Huckleberry Finn-Indirect-wants adventure–Direct-Smart, Hardworking Main Character: Jim-Indirect-Wants to be free-Direct-Not very smart Main Character: Duke-Indirect-Wants to be rich-Direct-Scam artist Main Character: King-Indirect-Does what the Duke tells him to do-Direct-Scam artist

  6. Irony In the book the King and Duke use Huck and Jim for there scams. Well in the book why they are in the middle of a job (scam) Huck desides that it is not right turns tells on the Duke and King.

  7. Likes Likes: I like how the book never slows down I like how there is a lot of action (for classic literature) I like how Huck is helping a run away slave (even though he thinks he is going to burn in hell)

  8. Dislikes Dislikes: I hated how his dad kidnapped him I didn’t like how they picked up scam artists

  9. Recommendation I would recommend this book to people who like classic literature, scam artists, and run away slaves.
