BRAC 2005 Overview • BRAC Defined: BRAC is a methodology or process which looks at varying components of their service and determines what actions would be necessary to transform its existing structure to meet the emerging threat and operational challenge for the future! • Previous DoD BRAC rounds; ’88, ’90, ’91, ’95 and ‘05 • BRAC 2005 is most comprehensive BRAC in nation’s history • BRAC Changes must be completed by September 15, 2011

One Knox Labor Study • 5000 New Jobs coming to the region • 8000 Family members moving to the area • $96 Million in new Tax Revenue (5 year) • Local Government will collect $7.1 million in additional taxes (5 year) • All industries will see an increase in demand for their goods and services • It is estimated that every two jobs on post will support an additional 1 job off post • Estimated annual additional business sales outside the gates should exceed $1.4 billion • In 2010, estimated population growth is 15,743 and 6,532 households • Incoming units employ higher graded workers
