Abstract:[The document describes a bridge device enabling multi-hop communications between devices in different piconets by using power save mode.]

Purpose:[The technology for increasing resource utilization and avoiding collision is an important aspect for future Mesh networks. We present a bridge device enabling multi-hop communications between devices in different piconets by using power save mode. This bridge device associates piconets using mutually independent channel and joins PS (power save) sets by considering the mesh network environment such as the number of piconet associated and the traffic of each piconets. This method enables devices in mesh networks to avoid collision and increase resource utilization]

  • MAC header contains the field such as :

    • SrcID indicates the initiating source DEVID

    • DestID indicates the final destination DEVID

    • SrcPNID indicates the PNID of SrcID

    • DestPNID indicates the PNID of DestID

  • BDEV capability field consists of BDEV rating, Max association piconets, and Buffer size fields
