  4. HOMEWORK Complete the spider diagram on your identity-You will need this for the next lesson. Bring in a personal item which represents a part of your personality. This item should be no larger than a piece of A4 sized paper. It could be a book, a sculpture. Teddy bear, shoe, purse, bag, game etc.

  6. CONTEMPORARY Consider the images on the following pages, and try to identify these artists as individuals. What can be said about the people in the images, from glancing at their self portraits. What could be said about the artist who created this art installation?

  14. CONTEMPORARY Artists identity Can we see any of the artists identity in the images? Race, age, gender?

  15. ‘The Walthamstow Tapestry’ 1990 CONTEMPORARY Can we tell age, gender and race from this artists work?

  16. Ceramic Pots. These pots have been created by the artist, and the images depict stories from his life. He pours all of his personality onto his art work and creates a rich montage with imagery from his identity. No two pots are the same.
