  6. Before individual Christians and churches can be effectively and strategically mobilized to respond to opportunities for long and short-term mission service they must know where those opportunities exist.

Introducing On Mission Celebrations An On Mission Celebration is a one to four day associational wide or an association of churches event that personalizes missions though the interaction with Southern Baptist State Convention, International Mission Board and North American Mission Board Missionaries.

  15. Introducing On Mission Celebrations • Celebrate God’s Activity Throughout the World • Anticipate Your Role In Being On Mission With God • Participate In An Ongoing Mission Lifestyle

  16. Traditional Formats: • One Day (Sunday) • Two Day (Saturday –Sunday) • Three Day (Saturday-Sunday-Monday) • Four Day (Sunday – Wednesday) • Combinations of Days Can Vary.

  23. These and other OMC models are not the World Mission Conference or On Mission Celebration we are accustomed to, however they have proven to be effective in producing results while assisting associations in overcoming financial, time and logistical issues.

How Do I Begin SchedulingAn On Mission Celebration? • Seek God’s Guidance. • Determine Desired Objectives. • Decide Which OMC Model Would Be Most Effective For Your Association. • Determine Date for Your OMC. • Complete The OMC Scheduling Form found in “Introducing OMCs”. • Route OMC Scheduling Form To Bob Shelton’s Office.
