  4. Students should be at school by 7:50. Class starts at 8:00.

  5. Cramerton Expectations • Please be on time for class. • Please follow the directions of the adults the first time. • Please clean up after yourself. • Please respect others and other’s learning. • Please maintain personal space. • Please follow all Gaston County School rules.

  6. Are you a car rider? If you are the only Cramerton student your parent will drop you off and pick you up in the back of school

  7. Are you a car pooler? 2 or more Cramerton students Drop-off and pick-up in the front of the school

  8. Dismissal Begins at 3:15 pm

  9. Pick Up Procedures Bus Riders will Report to the Gym and wait on buses there. Buses pick up between 3:15 & 4:00

  10. Attendance • Pride in school & self • Attendance directly impact student achievement (excessive check-outs) • Policy – over 12 absences student may not be promoted to next grade. • Check-out > Photo ID, Ident-a-kid system • No check-outs after 2:30pm.

  11. What If I Am Tardy? • 3rd - 5th Tardy– Administration Lunch Detention • 6th - 9th Tardy– Community Service/ per Administration – Office Referral • 10th – (+)Tardy -----office referral (redirect, after school detention, ISS and possible OSS.)

  12. Dress Code • Dress Appropriately for Learning • No Book bags carried during the day • No Tank tops • Shorts / Skirts – Dollar test • No holes above the knee / no undergarments exposed • You must dress out for P.E. and you will bring clothes in a plastic bag – no string bags

  13. There are five sixth grade teams: Schwartz/Cunningham - Sea Treasures Matherlee/Childers - Lighthouses Gardner/Spargo - Dolphins Albright/Carpenter - Sharks Benoy/ - Ocean Wonders

  14. BREAKFAST & LUNCH Lunch Begins for 6th grade At 11:00 Students who do not have money may charge a meal if their account has not exceeded $4.60. Free/ Reduced applications are available in the school office, the school cafeteria, and at the school nutrition center in Lowell .

  15. There are no outside deliveries allowed at Cramerton!

  16. What if your not feeling well? • Students are not allowed to have any medicine in his/her possession or locker. • Any student needing medication on a long-term basis will be required to have his/her physician complete an “Authorization of Medication for Students” form. • If a student becomes ill at school, he or she should notify his or her teacher and come to the office. The office will contact a parent/guardian. Students should NOT go to the restroom and remain there alone.

  17. Other Reminders….. • You will use a locker next year – you can purchase a lock at Transition Camp over the summer so that you can practice the combination • Office will not call for forgotten items (lunch money, P.E. clothes, homework, projects, athletic equipment) *you need to stop by to check • Agenda / student handbook • Teacher – websites / request appointment • No Bullying Zone/website

  18. Cell Phone use is not permitted during the school day. Cell phones should be left in the students’ locker and remain turned off while in the building.

  19. Radios, CD Players, I Pods, MP3 players, E-Readers, cigarettes lighters, matches, video games, etc. are not permitted at school.

  20. Clubs & Opportunities • SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) • Bible Club • Battle of the Books • Student Council • Beta Club • Girls on the Run • Student Leadership Team • Eagle Pride • Student of the Month • Math Elite • School dances!

  21. More Opportunities!!! Although 6th graders may not participate on sports teams, they can attend a variety of sports events! Students may purchase tickets after school and stay at school until the event with staff supervision. Tickets are $5.00 and students can buy snacks and drinks at the concession stand. It is a great time to meet friends and support the Eagles!
