General Model and Terms • Statewide project designed to create and implement health IT curriculum • Local partners: Spokane Community College, WorkSource system, SAWDC, WIA, navigator/agency • Navigator model based on Air Washington • Target is veterans and displaced workers, but also looking for incumbent workers and students.

  3. General Model and Terms, cont. • Focus is on IT • Only one position • Office at WorkSource and SCC • Classes begin in September 2013 at SCC • Navigator will help identify students, coordinate recruitment activities, he

General Model and Terms, cont. • General duties of the Navigator: • Help identify potential students • Coordinate/assist with coordinating recruitment activities • Assist students with navigating college, WorkSource, and employment • Outreach to employers • Direct and indirect employment placements

  5. Budget • $95,000 with approximately: • $19,000 available 7/1/13-9/30/13 • $37,500 available 10/1/13-9/30/14 • $37,500 available 10/1/14-9/30/15 • Overhead rate will be negotiated • Will need to budget for all associated costs, e.g. rent at WorkSource, local travel, etc.

  6. Selection Process • SAWDC subcommittee review and recommendation to Executive Committee • Based on 100 points • Looking for a qualified agencythat can meet the criteria of the RFP in a cost effective model that is designed to serve the customer and keep our funders satisfied.
