  8. Note from ASQ Website “You can type directly in the document above. As you are typing, tab or click on the specific areas where you want to enter your information. You will need to scroll down to reach the other areas of the recertification journal. Do not type more than the allotted lines for each category. As you enter your information, each column of the recertification unit credit will auto-tally for you. You will not be able tosave your entered category items. Be sure to print out two copies—one for submitting and one for your records. You may also print out the form and fill it in by hand.”

  9. Recertification • 18 Units needed to recertify (10.8 employment; 7.2 remaining units; or 12 meetings) • Units MUST be obtained within the 3-year certification period (document)

  10. Timeline • All ASQ members can submit their recertification journal packets to you up to six months before and/or after their expiration date; or called a ‘grace period’ after their expiration date. Anything submitted before the six months will be returned to the member and told to resubmit in the allotted time frame. Anything submitted after the six-month ‘grace period’ of their certification expiration date will be instructed on how to recertify by exam. Submitting recertification journals up to six months before the expiration date does not mean that the member must deduct six months of employment credit. That six month grace period before the expiration date is an ‘open window’ that is allowed for early submittal and full employment for the three year recert period may be taken, but any other activities must be completed before sending in their recert packet to receive RU credit(s).
